Who said that you can't add bling to a boys page?

That would be me. I have such a hard time adding bling to a masculine layout. While rummaging through a paper bins to find the perfect papers to compliment my photos, I found an Echo Park collection called, "Paradise Beach". It made scrapping this great sketch by Laura Whitaker so easy....... and adding the bling and gold foliage even easier. It really completed the page to my liking.

Paper: Echo Park
Bling: Daiso
Foliage: Recycled from a Christmas gift basket

Hurry if you would like to join this sketch challenge at Stuck?! Sketches. You only have one day left to play.

Are you ready to hop?

Are you ready to get into the fall spirit? Let's Get Sketchy is having a really fun blog hop. Be sure to check it out because to DT create some really cool projects.

They even had a mood board challenge to play along with.

Here is what I created. It's a card bouquet made up of  fall colored sunflowers. You can find the  SVGCuts file here. This flower collection that Mary created is awesome. I am so old school that  I just cut extra petals and glued them together at the top of the petals to create the card. I guess for the more computer savvy people, all you would need to do is weld the top together to create the card.... So my fingers are a bit sticky, but all and all I still love the end result.

Papers: AC Cardstock
Ribbon: Recycled from a gift basket
Lavender is from my plant in the yard.
The centers are stippled with a gold paint pen.

11 months and walking.

Some kids just do not like to be a baby. My son is one of them. Before he could master the act of crawling, he started walking. Today at 32, he is still that way. Always learning, mastering and then moving on to the next challenge. I can honestly say that he will never be stuck in a box. You go B!

Here is my take on this fun sketch from My Scraps & More.

Paper and Stickers: Echo Park This & That collections
Lg Circles: Cut with my Cricut Expression

I'm Back.

My hubby and I just got back from the best vacation ever. We explored Canada and Alaska. Now that I am all rested up, I am excited to start my scrapping and card making again. My girlfriend's Birthday was yesterday. When I saw this great sketch created by the one and only Laura Whitaker at Let's Capture Our Memories, I knew that this was going to be her card.

I love the simplicity of this card sketch and it helps to have on hand some pretty papers and stickers from Echo Park. This card really brought a smile to my face and hers.

Happy Thursday Everyone.

I hope that it is a fun one. In the month of August, we have so many Birthdays to celebrate that it put me in the mood to scrap my son's first birthday. Stuck?!Sketches sketch was so fitting for the five photos of my little one eating cake. My papers and stickers are from a Simple Stories collection called "Happy Day."

I also wanted to share what I got in the mail today. It's a very cool Mega Runner from Xyron that I won. I can't wait to try it. It might become my go to adhesive. I will let you know what I think. Be sure to skip on over to there site for your chance to win an amazing prize package.

Let's Ride!

My Mind's Eye did it again in creating a really fun boys collection to scrap with...it is called "Boy Crazy." The papers and the stickers in this kit made this scrapping girl very happy.
The Boys Rule sketch that I decided to go with was created by Laura. I do not think that there is one layout that I do not love of hers. She is so amazing.

When I was working on my layout, I decided to scrap more like Laura and add the little touches. I put a brown boarder around most of my layers. I used pop up dots on the banner, the star in the corner and the beeps on the circle The only thing that I did not do was to ink and splatter my layout. I am truly happy with the look that I was able to achieved.

Thanks for the inspiration Laura, You ROCK!!!

I'm on a roll.

This is my 3rd and last post for tonight, I promise. This sketch was one of Laura's from Let's Get Sketchy. For those who still would like to play, it's a Team B Aug. week 2. Once I figured out my photo and kit that I wanted to use, it came together pretty quick.

My paper kit is an oldie but a goodie. It is "Your's Truly" by EP.
