LGS Team B April Week 2

I love my fun loving boys. I smile every time that I look at these playful photos. When I saw Shirley's sketch at Let's Get Sketchy, I knew right away that I needed to set aside some scrappy time today, I grabbed some cool Echo Park stickers and papers and started creating.

Here is a side view of my embellishments.

I also embossed some thin steel and then cut it apart and added some of the pieces to my page. I really like the cool effect.

I glued the smaller steel pieces to the paper and stapled the larger ones in place.

Here is the great sketch created by Shirley if you would like to play along.

LGS Week 3

I had some time today to play with this great sketch that can be found at Let's Get Sketchy for the Team A Week 3 challenge. I always wanted to do a layout with a rainbow of color. I am loving the look so much, do not be surprised if  that is all you will see on my blog for a while. My paper collection is Beautiful Life by Echo Park and my butterflies were punched from a Martha Stewart punch.

Here is the great sketch by Laura Whitaker.

My Goodness, How Time Flies When You Are Having Fun.

Can you believe that this is my last DT challenge for this term at LCOM. It was such a blast creating so many fun cards from all the great sketches that were provided. My card has a lot of fussy cutting going on...from the popped up flowers to the cool looking border.

I hope that my card inspires you to play along with this great Laura Whitaker sketch. The prize this month is for a $10 gift certificate to Let's Capture Our Memories Store!

I am entering my card in two different challenges:
The Paper Girls ChallengePastel "EGGstravaganza"!!! I love the bright pastel colors in my card.
It really makes my flowers pop.
and
Paper Issues Challenge: Eggs-cellent Add-ventures! This card was inspired by my spring garden.
I love to plant pink and orange flowers. It is such a wonderful color combo.

A Let's Get Sketchy Challenge.

It has been a while since I played in a Let's Get Sketchy Challenge. This was a great sketch to play with. I found this sweet Mother's Day card that my son made for me 20 something years ago. I felt that since it was my card, I could not resist but to flower and bling this page out. The Indie Chic paper collection from MME could not have been any more perfect too. I really love the beautiful color combo of this collection. I did a lot of fussy cutting with this page...the flowers, border and even the top and bottom edges.

Here is the Team A April Week 1 sketch if you would like to play along.
