Just Us

For my Design Team reveal at Let's Capture Our Memories, I made this adorable Valentine's card for my hubby. It was so much fun to make using my Stampin' Up! punches along with some great papers from K&Company. I am also entering my card in the Paper Issue challenge "The Perfect Pairing". My owls do make a perfect pair if I do say so myself.

Look how cute my owls came out! I love how the owls and all of the embellishments were made using the same owl punch, minus the flower on the top of her head. The rose was a print on my paper that I fussy cut. To create the boy, I punched two hearts for the bow tie the three little circles for his buttons. For the girl, I wanted her to be all dressed up, so I added some punched circles and hearts to the bottom of her dress to make it fancy.

Here is the sketch created by the talented Shirley Mijares Mascarina:

I hope that I you will be able to join us and play along with this great sketch challenge. I would love to see what you create!

Can you believe that I was able to cut my green layers, paper pieced my white background paper, fussy cut the cakes, punch the circle behind the cakes and the blue hearts from half of a 12 x 12 piece of cardstock?

playful sketch by Laura Whitaker. I created my clouds by fussy cutting some parchment paper into my desired shapes. I then embossed them using my Stampin! Up! Dots folder. They were so fast and simple to make.

ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday Challenge with Team B

On a mission to scrap my son's first year of life, I am so thankful for Laura Whitaker who creates so many amazing sketches for us to get inspired from. This layout of my son's first New Year is scrapped pretty true to her sketch.  I had fun creating the circle by punching out my scallops and layering them.

StuckOnUSketches

Here is a photo of my Mom's father who she would refer to as "Pop". I do believe that this was his wedding photo. If that is so, the date of the photo would be July 12, 1894. The paper collection that I used was from Cosmo Cricket. I fussy cut all the flowers and leaves. My alpha stickers are from the girl's paperie.

Here is the beautiful sketch that Leah designed for StuckOnUSketches.

I am going to enter this layout in StuckOnUSketches sketch challenge and Paper Issues Pop-ping the Cork challenge.

My first layout for 2015.

While looking at all photos of my son that still need to be scrap, I found these adorable pictures of him discovering the blinking Christmas tree lights for the first time ever. It was so much fun to see the excitement on this face.

Here is the Let's Get Sketchy: Team A January Week 1 challenge.  It was created by Brenshevia.

My papers and stickers are from Echo Park and the bling stars are a Michael's dollar bin find.

LCOM Card Sketch 105

Today's sketch challenge over at Let's Capture Our Memories was to create a New Year's card.
Putting a fun twist on it, I decided to create a Chinese New Year's card.

Here is the cute sketch created by Laura Whitaker.

Here is my take:
Since 2015 is the Year of the Sheep/Goat/Ram. I went with a lamb. I just love the playful image of that stamp. I had on hand some really pretty origami paper that I fussy cut to created my flower field. Still needing a little something else to complete the look, I took my red pen and added some lines to the top and bottom of the card.

I would love for you to play along this month. Be sure to head on over to Let's Capture Our Memories blog to check out all of the New Year layouts and cards that the DT girls have created. It is a perfect way to get some amazing New Year themed project inspiration!

Product List:
Stampin' Up!: White cardstock and stamp
Making Memories: Stickers
Misc: Origami  paper from my stash and red pen.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year my friends. For my first challenge of the year, I decided to take on the Anything New Year die cut challenge at StuckOnUSketches

Here is the card that I created. Being a New Year, I thought it would be fitting to try something new. I created my card using mainly the negatives of the images that I had cut out using Mary's file from SVGCuts. It came together rather quickly. I hope that this will inspire you to try a new technique this year.

Product List:
SVGCuts: Svg Files Kates Silhouettes and Summer Box Cards
DCWV: Cardstock and Card
Stampin' Up: Stamp
